1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LiteSOC ("Service"), operated by LiteSOC Inc. ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LiteSOC is a security operations center (SOC) platform that provides:

  • Security event ingestion and monitoring
  • Real-time threat detection and alerting
  • Security analytics and dashboards
  • API access for programmatic event submission
  • Integration with notification services (Slack, Discord, email)

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update your information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion.

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

4.1 Subscription Tiers

We offer the following subscription tiers:

  • Free: Limited features with 5,000 events/month
  • Pro: Extended features with 50,000 events/month
  • Enterprise: Custom solutions with unlimited events

4.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are processed through Stripe and are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these Terms.

4.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Collect data about other users without consent
  • Use the Service for competitive analysis
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these policies.

6. API Usage

Use of our API is subject to:

  • Rate limits based on your subscription tier
  • Monthly event quotas as specified in your plan
  • Our API documentation and guidelines
  • Secure handling of API keys (you are responsible for keeping them confidential)

Excessive API usage beyond your plan limits may result in throttling, additional charges, or account suspension.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by LiteSOC Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your data solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data you submit to the Service is collected and processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including obtaining necessary consents from individuals whose data you submit.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
  • Emergency maintenance
  • Factors beyond our control (network issues, natural disasters, etc.)

For Pro and Enterprise customers, specific uptime commitments may be outlined in separate Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not guarantee that the Service will detect all security threats or prevent all security incidents.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LITESOC INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LiteSOC Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You fail to pay applicable fees
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We cease providing the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days of termination, unless retention is required by law.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights freely.
